Why you need that much money? I don't understand.
Playing game should be just for fun. That's what I believe. I know ppl will fire at my reply. But I just don't understand. |

Find something that makes gold that you enjoy doing.
I spent a few weeks when I was new farming Gates of Kryta and selling sub-perfect items to new players who were extremely grateful to have such items for their low-level characters. Then I got bored. I farmed candy canes endlessly, getting caught up in the "farm now before Wintersday is over" excitement. I ended up with 400. I did some buy low/sell high stuff on auctions. That was boring. I'll still fetch somebody a collectible from the desert for 2K or so. I found one customer who instead of paying 2K per item paid 10K, and bought four of them. (He says he gets his gold as a 55 HP monk, and was dressing up other characters in a hurry.) More recently I've done a bunch of SF farming with my wife, because she enjoys that, and I've at least sampled most of the other standard farming places. At the moment I'm feeling oppressed again by my bulging inventory, with over 20 items waiting for a warrior to be brought post-, and am playing him (he may be my last pre- character ever) until I'm ready to bring him post-. I guess I could save a little inventory space by advancing my low level characters to the point I was certain they'd never need a weapon again below Req 9, but the warrior is the big win. I also have a bunch of stuff in inventory of the sort that I used to enjoy selling but no longer do, in case I come to enjoy it again. Oh yes -- I have 200K, and some greens, and a nice range of collectors items, and a few other nice things, and all except about 10 of the 400 candy canes, and I'm pretty sure that I've given my wife a lot more in the way of gold and greens than she ever gave me. And I've contributed a lot of dyes, jewels, etc. to our communal storage. On the other hand, she has six characters who've made it at least to the Ring of Fire, and I have only one. It's all a question of what you like to do. Fortunately, neither of us has much desire for fancy armor. |

Moneyyyyyyyy
Ok i've just got lvl 19 and nearly lvl 20 already..i had less than 500g just before i turned 19. A hour ro so later i had over 6k.... i don't know this might not be much but i'm gonig to tell you what i did...
I mapped to Temple of Ages and joined about 4 different groups for galrath i still had the quest and thought why not do it now?? the fourth group did it so on all those runs i'd made about 3k....the other 3k is from a monstrous eye drop near camp rankor froma blessed gryphon i think and from selling loot i got while kiling giants, bosses(no good loot from them) and trolls. I have the 1.5k armour set and thats my last set of armour i'll ever by because the only difference between that and the 15k set is looks i've been told so why spend 75K on a set of armour because it looks a little better?? but yes msot people here are right just farm the areas they've said |

Farm for materials that collectors need to give the Desert collector items. Sell the items in Ascalon for 500g - 1000g to new players. You can make a nice profit if your patient as selling.

The reason people like to farm becuase its something to do. Like myself, i am looking for new ways to farm and get gold The Reason? I need it to buy good weapons, i want to get 15k armor, and get spells. There isent much to do after you beat all the mission besides make new players(which i cant) anyways, and why not get gold? You could help noobs, which I am doing and also i would like to help them with gold, cus new players always could use more gold.
I just dont liek it when people get mad at people like us that want to farm... its fun and why cant rich people help us? ?_? |

I have no idea how I made most of my money as I have only sold 2 items over 100K, and 1 was recently.
I began striking it rich with the introduction of greens in SF,and even then it was only a few 100K or so. The main cause I think was finding a spot I like farming (titans). Supplement this with not buying any expensive items, visiting UW and FOW once or twice a week, selling items quickly to other players and over time the gold just kept accumulating. I was probably playing for about 5 months before I got up really high. Just find stuff that you like doing in the game, be frugal and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised one day. (And I've never sold any ectos or shards that have dropped for me.) EDIT: by "like farming" it's 70%, hooray beating up titans now, and 30% gotta get some money. It helps that the drops are not bad, but really it's having a spot(s) I like going back to that does it for me. Last edited by Kidney Licker; Mar 23, 2006 at 01:20 AM // 01:20.. |

There is no need to flame farmers, if they want to waste their time so be it. i have full 15k druids on my ranger and i didnt farm once, i got it merely though doing quests etc (ofc i did get a few good drops but ive only ever recieved one green which is equipped on my war and one 'perfect' stormbow from a trip to get a spider which is equipped on my ranger)
now ive practically given up on the PvE world, PvP is much more my thing though im sure ill go back into the PvE world for factions |

I have a location which nets me about 20-30K per run, but the run takes over an hour. But like someone said, I do it for fun, and it's just gravy that I get quite a bit of cash in the process.
I also solo farm in FoW a bit, but I hardly make a profit, and I don't like it's such a large element of chance (if I aggro an Ancient Skale I'm dead). |

Yeah, UW is the answer, there is no better place no matter what others say
I do runs there with my gf, I'm a 55hp monk and she's ss/sv necro. We (almost) always pick someone who need to capture a spider, they usualy pay 20-30k gold. We get the spider first, then continue to smites. I went from 40k to 750k within one week, I was lucky tho, 1 req 9 shadow blade (from fow chest runs, sold it unid), 15^50% eternal bow (from uw chest) & 1 +30hp always shield. sold all those items for about 400k. My advice is, make a 55hp monk or ss necro, find a good friend who you can farm often with, and go raid UW. |

You won't get filthy rich this way, but just try to find areas that give decent armor/etc. drops, and farm for materials. People are ALWAYS willing to buy them, and their value never really fluctuates the way ecto, shards, etc. can. Plus, they're generally overlooked by bots and 55s. I find the southern shiverpeaks great for wood and tanned hides. Cleaing mineral springs in particular seems to be nice for ths, and I make a pretty penny here and there doing it. Like I said, not going to get filthy rich, but if you just salvage the junk, it adds up.
